Two More Catholic Radio Stations! Including: KOUG-FM in Pullman.

Radio news from Rod Fazzari: In 2013 we offered to help area Bishops acquire their very own low-power FM radio station for any of their parishes or schools in their respective dioceses. We had five takers: Fr. Nicks’ parish at that time in Twisp, St. Thomas More Student Center at WSU, Assumption (Fr. Pedro), Our Lady of Angels in Hermiston, and Bishop Cary himself in Bend. We helped two new non-profits form to build new stations in Walla Walla (KTNH, which airs EWTN’s 2nd English channel) and Clarkston. There was an older priest in Tri-Cities (95 at the time) who was interested. He had a non-profit already set up, so we filed for a license on his behalf. His name was Msgr. Desmond Dillon. He passed away shortly after the FCC approved his application for a Kennewick station. The call letters for this new Kennewick station are KDIL, in honor of Msgr. Dillon. The Pullman station (a very difficult one to build), was just recently completed on a hill between Pullman and Moscow. Our goal was to cover both towns and it does! The call letters for this new Pullman station is KOUG. How we were able to reserve KOUG for a WSU-affiliated radio station has to be a “God thing”! The priest in charge of St. Thomas More is now Fr. Luke Tomson and he is VERY excited about KOUG-FM!
