Dear Community of Walla Walla,
I hope you are enjoying this wonderful Fall. God is amazing. Walla Walla looks like those beautiful postcards we see at Hallmark stores. Our Religious Education Program is running and is going well. The new online program is going well. Please pray for all the children who are in the program that God may lead them to grow in their faith. Pray also for the parents who this year are taking more responsibility by teaching their children at home.
Sharing our faith takes teamwork. It starts with our Clergy and continues with all of us. This year a new group has been added to our team: the teachers at Assumption Catholic School. Thank you, teachers, for your generosity of time and talents.
If you have not registered your children for our Religious Ed online and would like to do so, please come and talk to Sister Margarita Hernandez, SP, D.R.E. I can help you to register your children but by June 1, 2018, all classes have to be completed.
This month of November is important for our faith. We started the month remembering that we belong to God’s family in heaven and on earth. Heaven is our final destination; the home God has promised us.
Secondly, we were reminded that our human lives are not eternal and that we are journeying toward heaven as we prayed for our beloved ones who have died. In a couple of weeks, we are going to celebrate our gratitude for God’s blessings on Thanksgiving. What a wonderful month full of faith reminders. Let’s share this amazing faith with our family and friends.
Providence of God I believe in you.
Providence of God I trust in you.
Providence of God I hope in you.
Providence of God I love you with all my heart.
Providence of God I thank you for all.
Continue praying for our children. God Bless you all.
Peace and Prayer,
Sr. Margarita Hernandez, SP D.R.E
