The Walla Walla area Church Women United welcomes the Milton-Freewater Church Women United as their guest for the May Friendship Luncheon on May 2, 11:30a.m., at the First Congregational Church, 73 S. Palouse, Walla Walla. Each person is encouraged to bring a personal hygiene item to add to the table centerpieces as “Through God Our Hands Can Serve.” Those items will be given to helpline to distribute. Nancy Jacobsen will speak about the interesting and beneficial work of the Commitment to Community (C to C) group in Walla Walla. The annual collection of Least Coin will be gathered for world-wide projects. A voluntary offering will also be gathered for the State and Local units’ work. The Walla Walla area women are asked to bring salads; bread, beverages and dessert will be furnished. The Milton-Freewater women collect pull tabs from cans and stamps, so bring all that you may have accumulated.
