NEW! WARMING CENTER FOR HOMELESS WOMEN & CHILDREN OPENED JAN 15, GRACE CENTER, 1520 PLEASANT. Grace Methodist Church, has opened their building to women and children every night from January-May 2018. At present there are few options for women with children under 18. Donations & weekend volunteers needed. Contact email@example.com to volunteer. At the end of May the Christian Aid Center hopes to have completed its new shelter for women and children which will replace this temporary shelter.
Warming Center: This year, Nov.-Feb, the Warming Center for the homeless will be hosted at New Beginnings Church, 822 W. Main, when the temperature is 20-25 degrees. CRS Fair & Ethical Trade: A huge thank you to all who attended the CRS Fair Trade Sales or placed catalog orders in Nov-Dec 2017! Your purchases of over $4000 supported artisans, farmers, & Catholic Relief Service projects around the world. The local profit of $730 will support local Catholic Social Concerns projects. In addition, we sold $288 of Guatemalan crafts. $141 of this will be sent to the Guatemala Commission account in the name of the WW parishes to be used for projects we support: Our Lady of the Highway pre-school, Nawal Estereo Radio, & pastoral work in Ixtahuacan.
