Giving Tree, School Supplies: School is just around the corner! School supplies can be expensive, but right now there are fantastic sales at many stores. Once again we’re asking you to help low-income students get the items they need for a successful school year. Please take one or more tags from the Giving Tree and bring back the items listed. For high school students, cash donations in check form are especially helpful. Please designate “school supplies for teenagers” on your check to your parish.
Walla Walla Teen Shelter: “The Hub on 3rd”, will be completed this summer. Walla Walla Catholic Charities has helped with planning and fund raising and will provide much-needed services for youth & their families in the area. The WW Teen Shelter, one component of the Hub will provide emergency shelter, case management, youth development programming and service referrals for youth ages 12-17. The Health Center and Children’s Home Society will also be housed in the Hub, providing primary health and mental health care services, and Early Head Start child care respectively. Grand Opening of The Hub on 3rd, Friday, September 8th at 2:00 pm. Across the street from Lincoln High School.
Feed the Hungry: Please remember to bring non-perishable food items or cash donations for the St.Vincent & BMAC food banks.
Sleep Center: The WW Alliance for the Homeless is busily trying to make 32 all weather Conestoga huts for the Sleep Center before winter, but they need help.
