Guatemala Mission: A beautiful quilt will be displayed and raffle tickets sold after Masses (June 10&11 at ABVM & St. Francis and June 25th at St. Patrick) to benefit the Mission On June 4 and June 10 supporters of Guatemala Mission & recent WW volunteers there will speak briefly after Masses about its history, accomplishments, & needs. Please make a pledge to contribute to the Mission.
On June 11, Patt Perlman, President of the Diocesan Guatemala Commission from Spokane, will do a more extensive presentation & slide show at Assumption Church, 11:30 – 1 pm. Refreshments!
Carpenters needed to help make huts for the homeless: The homeless folks from the tent camp moved to a Sleeping Center across from the police station on May 22. The WW Alliance for the Homeless needs more volunteers with carpentry experience to help build snow proof Conestoga huts. BMAC Mobile Food Bank: Once again the Tri-Parish Social Concerns Committee, in partnership with BMAC, is planning to distribute much needed fresh produce and meat to those in need. July 13, 5-7 pm, Assumption parking lot. Bagging of produce at 3 pm, pizza & salad for volunteers at 7 pm. NEEDED: volunteers, awnings to provide shade. Tri-Parish Garden Clean-Up Day: June 10, 8 am-12 noon. Come help make the outdoor rosary and Stations of the Cross beautiful! Needed: 12 families from each parish.
