Pope Francis Calls on Catholics to End World Hunger by 2025: “ ‘I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.’ The words of Our Lord call to us today, telling us not to turn away, indifferent, when we know our neighbor is hungry.”

Community Thanksgiving Dinner for those in need will be held at DeSales Catholic High School, 919 E. Sumach, Tuesday, November 22, 4-6 pm. Sponsored by St.Vincent de Paul & Salvation Army, and served by DeSales students. Everyone is welcome!

Feed the Hungry: As winter approaches, the need for food increases. Please remember to bring non-perishable food items every Sunday. Check donations, designating BMAC Food Bank, allow BMAC to buy 6X as many groceries as can be bought personally in most retail stores. BMAC distributes food items to all the local food banks, including St. Vincent’s.

Fair Trade Breakfast & CRS Multicultural Fair Trade Sale of craft items, coffee, and chocolate, will be held at Assumption Parish Hall, Sunday, December 4, 9-12, Adults $7, Children $4. Enjoy a delicious pancake & sausage breakfast with your family. Shop for beautiful & unique Fair Trade Christmas gifts crafted by artisans around the world. Proceeds will benefit the Guatemala Mission & efforts to help the homeless in Walla Walla, as well as the Catholic Relief Services global outreach

GOTR Homeless Camp: The City of WW has decided to keep the GOTR Homeless Camp open until at least Feb. 19ruary About 40 campers now, some disabled. Needed: pallets, plywood, propane, propane heaters, large winter grade tent where campers can gather on freezing nights, warm blankets, sleeping bags, socks, and underwear. Donations are accepted from 12-6 pm, M-F, when a volunteer is available.
