Haiti Relief: Hurricane Matthew, October 4, left 900 people dead and 80%, in the affected provinces, in temporary shelters, facing a cholera epidemic. In many towns, CRS is the only relief agency. Interfaith Coalition on Poverty: National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week, Wednesday, November 16, 6:30-8:30 pm, Blanchet Hall, St. Patrick’s. Focus: hungry school children and “Back Pack” Program which sends food home for the weekend or school vacations. Come on Wednesday, November 16 to find out kinds of food needed and how you can volunteer or donate. In Walla Walla there are more than 300 people homeless, 1000 in need of food, more than 100 homeless youth.
