Tri-Parish Garden: Help every Saturday through October for weeding, cleaning, friendship, and planting. Weekly harvest to start soon. Nancy Wenzel, 629-2863,

GOTR Temporary Homeless Camp, 55+ residents, 10/2/16. Present needs: volunteers, winter tents, tarps at least 10X12, firewood, propane, warm sleeping bags, hygiene items. Please take clothing items to Helpline to distribute. Contact Beth Call for more information, 529-0216. 7 pm, Wednesday, October 12 WW City Council will decide on how best to help the homeless during the winter. One possibility is to keep GOTR open, but winter tents and other supplies would be necessary. Come listen and tell your ideas about a good solution!

Warming Center: Volunteers needed. From November-February, on nights when temperature drops below 20 degrees, or 25 degrees with precipitation, the Congregational Church, Palouse and Alder, hosts a Warming Center, 7 pm-7 am. Volunteers are needed for 3 hour shifts. Contact Kristen Sayers, United Way, 529-1183.
