There will be an Altar Society Meeting on Saturday, September 24th at 10 AM in the St. Francis Parish Hall. Please join us as we gather together in fellowship as women of St Francis with St Ann as our patron. All women are invited and welcome to join us!
If anyone is interested in doing coffee and donuts once a month during July and August after the 9:00 Mass please contact Marguerite 525-1112 or 520-5424.
We are getting requests from our parishioners to have this continue during the summer.
As followers of Jesus Christ and St. Francis and St. Clare, we know that violence is never the answer. We are horrified by the shooting of five police officers in Dallas and the shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile by police in Louisiana and Minnesota. Violence is not the solution to violence. We hold in prayer all these victims of senseless violence and their loved ones. We must once again start seeing each other as children of God, all created in God’s image. Excerpt, 7/8/16
There will be a reception held to honor those from our parish who received their First Communion/Confirmation this year and for those graduating from high school, after the 9:00AM Mass on May 29th in the parish hall. Those who received their Sacraments are: Levi Magnaghi, James Didelius, Thomas Didelius and Gianna DeSomber.
The graduates are: Nick Brown and John Neal. If there are other St. Francis Parish members graduating from high school or college this year contact Wendy Kimball or Marguerite. We don’t want to miss anyone.
Whoever borrowed the stainless steel deli/lasagna pans (5 or 6 pans, each approx. 18”x10”x4” and marked St. Francis) from the Parish Hall kitchen, PLEASE return them ASAP. They are needed for funeral luncheons!
Our little parish is kept beautiful and vibrant by the many generous parishioners who give of their time. Sometimes though, too many hands can create some difficulties – especially regarding indoor plants. It seems that a number of people have been trying to help by watering the plants, with the result that they have been getting over watered. To help avoid this, one person has been assigned to care for them. Thanks!
